So, we have now been in the house almost a year. We are slowly working on some renovation, but it is driving me crazy how long everything seems to take! I was hoping that this summer, I would have time to paint and decorate all the upstairs rooms, but that has not happened. I had time to paint the hallway, and that was about it. I guess it was more of a problem of heat, than time. It got so hot this summer, I was afraid to paint! Oh well, I guess there are always other vacations.

On a brighter note, we got to take 2 vacations this summer! We went to Oak Island with my mom, dad, and sister for a week in July, and then got to drive to Florida to visit my Grandma B. the week of our anniversary. We also got to spend time with my Aunt Sandy and Uncle John. We stayed away from the beach at New Smyrna due to large numbers of Jellyfish stings. Seems the lifegaurds even ran out of the white vinegar they use to treat the stings the first weekend we were there! They had over 500 stings on one Saturday! We did spend a day at Flaggler Beach, ad it was perfect. The water was warm, the sun was hot, and the company was good! What more could you ask for?

We had planned a trip to Disney, but the heat index of 110 and up scared us away. We plan to go again next year and perhaps stay a night so we can see more of the park!

School is about to begin. I am sad to see summer go by so fast, but happy to have fall here! I always love the pumpkin festivals and other fall stuff!
